Alliance of Dublin & Manchester for Mayo Gala Concert

The Mayo Association Dublin is delighted to announce a partnership with Mayo Manchester as the headline sponsor of the special 6th annual Gala Concert taking place at Ballina Arts Centre on Saturday, 4 August.

The gala concert, which is hosted by Alan Keegan from Manchester United Football Club, is always a sellout and is one of the main highlights of this year's Mayo Manchester Tradfest which runs from Thursday 2 August to Wednesday 8 August across the county of Mayo.

Julie Doyle, Chairperson of Mayo Association Dublin commented "The Association is delighted to join forces with our good friends in Mayo Manchester by sponsoring this premier event. Our friendship as diaspora groups has come full circle with our partnership of this event in our native Mayo. Part of our remit as an Association is to promote the culture of our county and the Tradfest Gala concert is an excellent fit. The concert features performances from:The Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band, Joe Keegan from the BBC TV show The Voice and Marion Waldron as seen on Sky TV from Manchester, representing Mayo's Premier Irish Dancing talent are The Jiving Juniors as seen on RTE TV Late Late Show, The Turley Duggan Academy of Irish Dancing and The Murphy Moore Academy of Irish Dancing. Mayo's vocal talent is represented by The Centre Stage Vocal Academy plus singer songwriters Con Murphy and Dennis McCalmont.
