Ballina welcomes home Mayo Manchester for Home to Mayo Festival

Mayo North and the Ballina Tourist Office had the Green and Red Mayo flags flying high to welcome home Mayo Manchester for the countdown to the forthcoming Home to Mayo Festival.

Tony Hennigan from Mayo Manchester commented “It is great to be back in Ballina again and joining forces with the Mayo North Tourism office and the Ballina Chamber. We have been working together on various Tourism projects for over ten years. The Home to Mayo Festival in Mayo is an ideal opportunity to do something together again. We are staging our award winning Mayo Manchester Tradfest from Thursday 26 to Tuesday 31 May with Ballina being one of the eight main hubs in Mayo.

The group is staging the Home to Mayo Gala Concert on Saturday 28 May hosted by Alan Keegan from Manchester United Football Club. It features Irish Musicians, Singers and Dancers from Mayo and Manchester. Then on Sunday evening the Fianna Phadraig Pipe band will be staging promenade performances at different locations in the town.”
