Failte Ireland help support Mayo Manchester Tradfest

Failte Ireland and The Wild Atlantic Way are amongst the main supporters of this years 2016 Six Day Mayo Manchester Tradfest which takes place in and around Ballina in North Mayo from Friday 29 July to Wednesday 3 August.

The Festival is also supported by Mayo.ie, Ballina Town Council, Ballina Chamber, the Levenshulme Pub Company, the Horseshoe Levenshulme, Excel Excavations and the Mayo Manchester Tourism and Business group. The week long celebration of Irish Music, Song and Dance features over one hundred performers taking part in fifty different events. It's media sponsors include The Western People in Ireland, The Universe media group in the UK and the international Ireland West Airport which is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary this year.

The festival features the Keegan Academy of Irish Dancing, the Finanna Phadraig Pipe Band amd a host of special guests from Manchester. Performers from Mayo include the highly acclaimed dancers and musicians from The Atlantic Rhythm Production Company, TG4 TV star Pamela Gilmartin, the Admiral Brown CCE group, Sean Nos Dancers Tommy Stenson and The Ganley Sisters and the award winning Heroes for Hospice group.

The official launch and Gala concert takes place in Ballina and then goes on to visit Attymass, Bonniconlon, Crossmolina, Foxford, Lahardane and Swinford.
