Manchester’s Lord Mayor gets behind Home to Mayo Festival

The Lord Mayor of Manchester Councillor Tommy Judge visited the opening of this years 2021 Levenshulme Festival. He is pictured here at the popular Fred’s Ale House at the Sold Out gig by BBC singer Songwriter - Claire Mooney and the Lady Mayoress.

Claire had composed a special song to welcome the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress to the venue in Levenshulme village in South Manchester.

The Mayor is his opening address for the festival heaped praise on the Singer Songwriter for her work in the community. He encouraged the visitors to the festival to support the Tourism Ireland Press the #GreenButton campaign to book their trip home to Mayo for the forthcoming Home to Mayo Festival in May.

Mayo Manchester are staging a week long Mayo Manchester Tradfest from the 26 to 31 May featuring performers from Mayo and Manchester.
