Mayo Manchester to stage Home to Mayo Tradfest
Mayo Manchester have been asked to become Ambassadors for the month long ‘Home to Mayo 2022’ which is a month long festival in Mayo from the 1st to 30th May.
Mayo Manchester are hoping to stage their award winning Mayo Manchester Tradfest from 26 to 31 May. The week long celebration of Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance hopes to feature 100 performers from Mayo and Manchester at 100 events.
The festival will take place at 7 different hubs in the North, South, East and West of Mayo from Attymass and Ballina in North Mayo to Ashford Castle in the South and Claremorris in the East to Westport and Achill in the West.

The Global Irish Festival Series, a Fáilte Ireland and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade initiative, aims to harness diaspora links for the benefit of local and community tourism.
Mayo County Council is delighted that Home To Mayo 2022, a Mayo Tourism and Diaspora connection initiative has been selected to be part of the Global Irish Festival Series – a joint initiative between Fáilte Ireland and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Home to Mayo will see a series of events running throughout the month of May 2022 incorporating existing festivals along with participatory experiences across towns in the county. Home to Mayo will also include the internationally celebrated Mayo Day. The campaign was launched at Mayo Day 2021 and looks to encourage the Mayo diaspora to visit Mayo for the festival series in 2022.
