The Star of ‘Paddy The Show’ to help launch Mayo Day Tradfest in Ballina
One of the stars of the sell-out hit ‘Paddy the Musical’ – the award winning Irish singer and musician, Tommy Fleming will be appearing at the press launch for the Mayo Manchester Mayo Day Tradfest on Sunday 1 May. Tommy will be performing one of the hits from the show ahead of his forthcoming UK tour which will be making its UK debut from the 9th November in Manchester.

Mayo Manchester are flying into Ballina, Mayo to stage the Press launch for their forthcoming Mayo Manchester Tradfest on Sunday 1 May at 3pm in Dillons Courtyard. The special free afternoon of Irish, Music, Song and Dance will be launched by Ballina TD, Dara Calleary. As well as the appearance of Tommy Fleming it also features a host of stars including Country Music TV star, Pamela Gilmartin, dancers and musicians from Atlantic Rhythm, acoustic stars, Dennis McCalmount and Brian Duffy plus host of surprise guests. The special event will be hosted by Dolores O'Boyle.
The Manchester based Tourism and Business group have joined forces with Failte Ireland, the Ballina Chamber, Mayo.ie and a number of performance groups in Manchester and Mayo to stage the annual 6 Day Irish, Music, Song and Dance festival which runs from Friday 29 July to Wednesday 3 August. With over 50 events being staged in and around Ballina the festival which is now in its second year has already received support from the Tourism Minister Michael Ring TD and the President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins.

As well as the Mayo Day celebration in Ballina, Mayo Manchester have organised a Mayo Day weekend in Manchester.

Co-written by Tommy Fleming alongside Singer/Songwriter Gerry Carney and Tommy Marren (who penned the hugely successful comedy ‘It’s the Real McCoy’) this brand new original stage show tells the story of Patrick Murphy who leaves Ireland in the early 1960’s in search of fame and fortune.
The story unfolds over a 25-year period as Patrick – played by Tommy Fleming – experiences the highs and lows of life on the building sites of London town.
