Tradfest comes home to Attymass
The annual Mayo Manchester Tradfest returned to Attymass again this year with a series of concerts and seisiuns. On Sunday 6 August the group staged a two hour free concert in the newly reopened Attymass Community Centre with the Attymass Youth Choir. The group also staged a series of music seisiuns in An Sionnach Rua Pub in Attymass.
The group have been visiting Attymass since 2013 when it first staged the Mayo Manchester Gathering and has staged an annual festival in the parish for the last five years there.
Tony Hennigan the director of the festival who has a house in the Parish and both his parents were born there commented "We always get a great welcome when the group visits Attymass, it feels like coming home for all of the performers."
