Voice of Old Trafford to Host MMTradfest Concert in Ballina

Alan Keegan who Manchester United's Football Club stadium announcer is heading to Ballina in August to help launch this year’s 2017 Mayo Manchester Tradfest. Alan will once again host the 6 Day festival’s Gala Concert on Saturday 5 August at the Ballina Arts Centre.

Known as 'The Voice of Old Trafford' he has been announcing the world famous football stars at Manchester United and the National team’s Wembley since 2000. He is also an accomplished TV and Radio broadcaster and accomplished Irish author who has been involved with promoting Irish culture in Manchester for over thirty years.

Tony Hennigan from Mayo Manchester commented "We are delighted to be able to bring Alan over again to Mayo, he went down really well at the concert last year and everyone is really excited about meeting him again."

The annual concert at the Ballina Arts Centre looks set to be another sell-out show, a limited number of early bird tickets are to go on sale at just Ten Euros each until the end of June at the Ballina Tourist Office and the Ballina Arts Centre.

Performers from Mayo include: The award winning musicians and dancers from the CCE Admiral Brown group from Foxford, The Murphy Sisters, Irish dancers The Ganley Sisters, plus Sean Nos Dancer Tommy Stenson as seeen on RTE, The Heroes for Hospice group, Dennis McCalmount and special guests.

Performers from Manchester include: Joe Keegan from the TV show The Voice, The Keegan Academy of Irish Dance who are trained by Lord of the Dance star, James Keegan and his sister Louise plus The Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band.
