Win a holiday in Mayo at Tradfest launch in Manchester

Win a holiday in Mayo at the newly refurbished Twin Trees Hotel ( as featured on RTE TV in Ballina is just one of the free raffle prizes at the promotional launch on Friday 4 March at Freds Ale House in Levenshulme.

Other prizes include three crates of craft beer from the Mayo based Reel Deel Brewery. The first fifty entrants to the online competition will also receive a VIP pass to the launch event.

The special event will kick start the festivals one hundred events to celebrate Ireland's Centenary on Friday 4 March at Fred's Ale House in Levenshulme. The Tradfest involves three of the main festival hubs in Levenshulme, Chorlton and Fallowfield with Irish Art, Comedy, Community, Dance, Music and Irish Language events taking place from Friday 4 to Sunday 20 March.

The Tradfest launch event which is being organised by the Mayo Manchester Business and Tourism group and sponsored by, will feature a host of Manchester's premier Irish Music and Dance groups as well as a host of promotional free raffles for Mayo products and Tourism destinations.

Performing on the night will be two of the groups from the recent hugely successful Mayo Manchester 6 Day Tradfest which took place last year in and around Ballina in North Mayo. The Festival has just been confirmed to return to Mayo this summer from Friday 29 July to Wednesday 3 August. The Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band and the Keegan Academy of Irish Dancing from the Tradfest will be kick starting the event.

Also appearing on the bill will be The Hayes Sisters who will be showcasing their much acclaimed album 'Another Man's Shoes' plus one of the stars from last years RTE TV series 'The Voice' - Irish singer songwriter Denise Morgan and a Ceili by the Lally OSullivan School of Irish Dancing.

As well as the live entertainment in the first floor concert room there is a photo exhibition by Anslem Gallagher on Manchester 1990 which was recently featured in the Manchester Evening News, plus a photo exhibition on the 2015 Mayo Manchester Tradfest in Mayo which is on show in the basement Art Gallery.
